I hate Sony so damn much right now..

I really hate Sony so goddamn much right now..

I was bored out of my mind, so I decided to finally pick up Disgaea 3 for PS3, and after getting a bargained copy at the local store I pop in the game to start playing. And the first thing that happens is a big “FUCK YOU” from Sony with a MANDATORY goddamn game update which forces me to download a fucking update for over 1 hour before I can even start playing!

Seriously! If it’s something that should be OPTIONAL on todays consoles, it’s updates! Of course if you want to play a game online you would have to update to play with other players, but I really see no need in this completely retarded application of having to update a single player game for over one hour before I can play it. This is NOT something that makes people happy, rather it will make them pissed of and more likely to not wanting to play the game and/or become hesitant to buying any new games because of the dreaded forced updating.

Although Sony is even worse on this shit than others, in that you even are forced to apply any System Updates if they are available. Before you can even login to your account to see if you have any messages or if any friends are online and so on.

Get it together Sony! What the hell?!

If you hit the circle button at the update screen, you can keep playing without the update…at least, that worked for Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2. Unless you’re talking about the system update, those can’t be bypassed. I forget why the D3 patch was so huge, so I don’t know how important it is, but you should have been able to skip it.

Hm I’ll have to try that another time if I run into a forced game update. I think the D3 patch was so huge mainly because it was the trophy patch for the EU version. Not sure though. Might have been some additions and bugfixes outside of that.

Speaking of updates, it’s also pretty ridiculous that the system updates are pretty much forced, and that they lock you out of using anything without updating it.

Yeah, I hate that, especially since updates sometimes cause malfunctions. It’s a pretty stupid system, really. You have to spend a few days without any online features to wait for any disastrous news.

As to the update, why would a trophy patch be so big?

I haven’t really used my PS3 as much, so I usually hear about the disastrous news after it’s blown over.
And uhm, hmm. Why the trophy patch would be so big, I’m not sure. It’s sony after all so why not? lol

The thing that annoys me the most though is that they seem to have implemented avs on the PSN store. Address verification system.

Which means that I can’t buy stuff from the US store anymore with my credit card because Sony are idiots. =_=

It worked just fine earlier this year but not anymore.
