I know, I said I’d be done by night yesterday. And actually I was done hours before that. However, both TV and Internet completely went down yesterday where I live, so I wasn’t able to upload any of them last night.

However, uploading just finished up now and here they are!

Changes and information:
All of the 5 new updated themes key sound levels have been fixed, so they shouldn’t be too loud even when using your PS3 on moderate sound levels.

Version 2.0 features changed wallpapers compared with the last release of 1.2.

Versions 2.1 - 2.4 features the same volume changes to the key sounds as well as a certain wallpaper theme set for each version. 2.1 - 2.3 has 7 different wallpapers where as 2.4 has 15. All of the wallpapers in the 2.1 - 2.4 versions follows the same wallpaper theme. So they will all be styled in the same way as the wallpaper you see in the preview picture for the theme.

Download instructions:
To download any of the themes, simply click the name or the preview picture of the theme you want and select save.

Installation instructions:
Download the theme you want and save it on a memorystick in the following way:
["E:" being your drive's letter] Memory Stick E:\PS3\THEME\

Alternately you can also navigate to this post on you PS3 browser and download the theme you want directly to your PS3.

To install the theme from a memory stick, go to your Theme setting on the PS3. Select themes and go to “Install” located at the top of the list. Then simply select the theme you want to install from the list.

Disclaimer:
All characters and the Touhou series are created by ZUN of Shanghai Alice, and all wallpapers within the themes were created by their respective artists. I simply compiled and revised these themes for the usage of fellow Touhou fans such as myself. These themes will always be provided for free, and if you find any site offering any of them for money, please report them to me.

The themes have been tested and confirmed working on the following firmware and PS3 models:
Fat 60GB  Version with Backwards compatibility running the firmware: 3.15
Fat 120GB Version running the firmware: 3.15
Fat 80GB  Version with Backwards compatibility running the latest firmware 3.21 (Would not display backgrounds)

Post your opinions people! And if you are having any issues with these themes, please post your current firmware version and PS3 model and I will try to look into it. I have tried out all of the themes on my own PS3 and they all worked without any issues for me.

Yes, that’s right. I finally got around to start reworking the Touhou PS3 Theme.

It has taken a few hours so far since I had to copy all my sourcefiles over from my old computer.
And then after installing the programs again, it would appear that the programs didn’t even work on Windows 7.

So I had to start searching around the net and by chance found a forum post by the author of the theme program, from where I obtained a experimental 64-bit beta version. The beta version turned out to be functional after manually installing it into the system. I then had to reload all the sound effects into my audio editing program, change all the volume levels on each sample and then resave them and convert them to the audio format for the PS3 themes.

Needless to say, it’s been quite bothersome.

I’m also swapping some wallpapers, and I might be changing some of the pictures in the theme. I will also be releasing a couple of other versions of this new version of the theme, featuring different wallpaper packs. Some of the versions will contain wallpapers selected especially from a collection of wallpapers which has the same theme to them. And some versions may contain mixed wallpapers.

I should probably be done with Touhou PS3 Theme 2.0 by the end of the day at least.

And I am currently betatesting the noise levels of the theme sounds on my PS3 to make sure they aren’t too loud as they were in the Ver 1.2 release.
